# Maths working model for class 10 on G.P

Learn and know one interesting maths working model for class 10 on the geometric progression topic. This is very much easy working model. If you know what is mean by geometric progression you can understand this working model easily.

Do you know what is a math model in mathematics? Whatever we learnt in the classes that one we will try represent through one activity. Doing one math activity will make us to understand the concept very well. Generally we will exhibit these models in school exhibition. Now we are trying to make one math working model for class 10 students. Geometric progression comes in class 10. So this working model will be suitable and best for class 10 students.

## Follow the below steps for preparing working model:

Before performing this activity, just observe the above given diagram.

Take a white sheet or any paper and cut it in the shape of square.

After getting the shape of square, fold it diagonally. Now you can observe that there will be two equal parts. Each part is equal to $\frac { 1 }{ 2 }$.

Second time again fold it diagonally, now by observation it is clear that there will be four equal parts. Each part is equal to $\frac { 1 }{ 4 }$.

Third time again fold it, you will get 8 equal parts. Each part is equal to $\frac { 1 }{ 8 }$.

Fourth time fold it, you will get 16 equal parts. Each part is equal to $\frac { 1 }{ 16 }$.

Still you can fold it. Fifth time, if you fold it, you will get 32 parts. Each part is equal to$\frac { 1 }{ 32 }$.

Now if you observe these numbers patterns we can say that they are following geometric progression.

This is a very simple maths working model for class 10 students. For preparing this working model you no need of any materials. Just 1 white sheet or any paper is enough.

By performing this working model we can learn what is geometric progression.

Hope this maths working model will be helpful for class 10 students.
